Children of the Columbia

The Columbia River, what has been called, The Great River of the West, is one of the most famous waterways in the world. Since time immemorial it has been the thread that has tied the Pacific Northwest together. Over the last century, it has gone through a massive transformation, providing resources like power, wood products, minerals and so much more. But side by side with its industrial development, the Columbia has emerged as an iconic center for backcountry adventure, home to some of the best in the world.
